Ben Schaefer

Ben Schaefer is finishing up his PhD in Biological Anthropology with a focus in Molecular Bioarchaeology at Univ. Of Illinois at Chicago and The Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago, IL. His research focuses on reconstructing the socially embodied lived experiences from archaeological hormones embedded in the hair of child sacrifices at Huanchaquito Las Llamas, Peru. Ben is excited to support the CRDS with public outreach, community engagement, and programming! Aside from Academia, Ben spends a great deal of time designing digital illustrations - some of which have been included in art shows across the United States.
