Dr. Natalia Vargas-Márquez
Dr. Natalia Vargas-Márquez holds a PhD in Art history from the University of Minnesota. She is a writer, educator, an organizer with more than a decade of experience in higher education. She researches nature, landscape, and non-human animals, non-human death practices and rituals. In 2019, she received certification as a Death Midwife. She’s interested in connecting the way we think about death as another way we relate to nature and our world.
